There are seven types of Divine Arts in Valkyrie Elysium:
Fire Ice Dark Holy Earth Lightning Non-elemental
All but non-elemental provide bonus damage to your enemies, and their weakness can be seen next to their health gauge.
Taking advantage of their weakness will stagger an enemy into a state of Elemental Crush, and landing another Divine Art of the correct element will push this further and Immobilize them, giving you precious time to deal out some serious damage. You’ll trigger Elemental Crush all the quicker if you’re also using the Einherjar of the same element, as that grants your normal attacks an elemental bonus too.
You can equip up to four Divine Arts at a time, which you set to correspond with a face button of your choice. A good housekeeping tip here is to put them on the same button as the corresponding Einherjar – for example, if you equip Eygon, your lightning Einherjar, to Triangle on the summon wheel (R1), equip Lightning Bolt to Triangle on the Divine Art wheel (R2).
There are typically three tiers of each Divine Art, and each increase in tier will give the spell a greater effect, but at the cost of a higher drain on your Arts Gauge. You’ll refill this quickly by landing normal attacks, however.
And as for finding them, we detail all of their locations below:
